Kate Middleton Goes Rowing in Canada, Check Out Her Sporty Past!

Hey there, I'm Lauren. Kate Middleton is once again showing off her sporty side in Canada, and we're taking a look back at some of her most athletic moments from the past in today's PopSugar Rush.

Everyone's been talking about Kate Middleton's gorgeous dresses as she and Prince William make their way across Canada, but the Duchess of Cambridge has also been working up a sweat during her tour of the country. Yesterday, Kate and William went to a street hockey game in Yellowknife where some young players tried to get Kate to join in — though her high heels weren't exactly sport-ready. Instead, she dropped the puck to kick off the game and watched on as William took a couple of shots. Kate was much better prepared in her casual clothes for a canoe ride later in the day with William. It's the second time she's gone rowing during the trip, following Monday's dragon boat race against William, and Kate seems happy to take on the exercise! PopSugar editor TK is here to give you the breakdown of the Duchess's very athletic past.

We've seen Kate at polo matches, horse races, and rugby games, so we know she's a sports fan, but she's also quite the athlete in her own right. Growing up she was on the tennis, swimming, and hockey teams at boarding school, and back in 2007, she actually trained for months with an all-female rowing team to cross the English Channel, so Canada isn't the first time that Kate's stepped into a boat to row. In fact, rowing with a rowing machine is reportedly one of the ways she got in shape for her wedding!

Sports are also a big part of Kate's relationship with William. We've seen them watch tennis together at Wimbledon, and Kate has been a huge supporter of William at his polo matches over the years. They go skiing regularly, and actually, it was during a ski trip in 2004, that they first made their debut as a couple, so they seem to enjoy getting a good workout together.

Kate will actually be watching from the sidelines as William takes part in a polo match on Saturday in Santa Barbara as part of the US leg of their North American tour. They take off for Los Angeles on Friday.
