Vidya Balan is learning Telugu

New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- Actor Vidya Balan, who is currently in Hyderabad shooting for Balaji's The Dirty Picture, has started to learn the local dialect, being the language aficionado that she is. Already fluent in Malayalam, Tamil, English, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi, Balan, 33, has now taken to learning Telugu.
"During the shoot in Hyderabad, Vidya encourages people to speak to her in Telugu so that she learns it and can practice it," says a source.

Salman is the biggest star: John Abraham

Actor John Abraham seems to have buried his differences with actor Salman Khan, with whom he had a falling out in 2006. On a recent visit to Delhi, Abraham wished Salman a speedy recovery after his nerve surgery in the US.

“I wish Salman the best for his health. He is the biggest star in the industry and I hope to see him back in action soon. He is undoubtedly the one behind the success of his movies,” said Abraham.

The differences between the two actors started during an international tour in 2006, when over some financial dispute, Salman had severed ties with John. Even when the two later worked together in Baabul, the cold vibes did not go unnoticed.

Unlike ex-girlfriend Bipasha, who is being linked with her co-stars, John says he is not looking for love, post the couple’s break up after a nine-year relationship.

“I am single but not ready to mingle. I am happy with myself and enjoying my singlehood. I am not here to have great time with women and I don’t want to be in a frivolous relationship.

I want to spend time with my family. They need me and I too, need them the most,” says the actor while he launched the Van Heusen flagship store in Vasant Kunj’s Ambience Mall.

Ranbir Kapoor gushes over Lionel Messi!

Ranbir Kapoor must be very used to gushing and swooning. People, especially girls, swooning and gushing over him, that is. But he wasn't prepared when he came face-to-face with his idol Lionel Andres Messi in Barcelona on Friday, reports Mumbai Mirror.

The 28-year-old actor had a couple of disappointing hits-and-misses when it came to meeting the striker for Barcelona. And a source informed that Kapoor had arranged to meet Messi in Kolkatta at the friendly recently.

"Ranbir would have loved to watch the match in Kolkata, but due to his prior work commitments, he had to cancel his plans to meet his idol. The actor had to shoot for Anurag Basu’s Barfee, since the slated schedule was postponed due to bad weather. That’s why Ranbir could not attend the match," explained the tabloid's source.

So when the Rockstar actor travelled to Barcelona for a college reunion and meet the team minus Messi, he was sorely disappointed.

"He got an invite from team Barcelona. They had heard about Ranbir when they were in India and learnt that he is a Barcelona and Messi fan. However when Ranbir met the team members and coach of the team on Thursday, Messi wasn’t present. He was a little disappointed."

Then came the moment Kapoor had been waiting for when he got an invite from his favourite team again.

It was Kapoor's dream come true.

"Messi personally autographed Ranbir’s cap and they spoke at length about their respective fields. They also took his autographs." the source revealed to Mumbai Mirror.

"Yes he met Messi on Friday. Ranbir is a huge fan of Messi and was regretting the fact that he could not meet him, when he was here last week. They both also represent the same brand but had never met earlier," confirmed Ranbir’s brand manager Anirban Blah.Ranbir Kapoor must be very used to gushing and swooning. Prateik Babbar finds love again!

A Mumbai-based tabloid ran report after report about his break-up with girlfriend of three years, Hanisha Melwani. First it was his alleged obssession with his ex-girlfriend.

"Hanisha and I were together for nearly three years," Prateik told Mumbai Mirror in November, "I am still fond of her. But she doesn't want me in her life any more."

And later, Prateik reluctantly admitted to a break-up in January. "That's over. It wasn't an easy task. But I am not chasing Hanisha any more."

But Prateik Babbar is undeterred. The actor has found love anew in 20-year old British model-actress, Amy Jackson, reports Mumbai Mirror.

"Prateik and Amy hit it off rather well right from the get-go. They have become rather close recently. They are definitely more than just good friends," a source revealed to the tabloid.

Amy, a Liverpool native, and Prateik met on the sets of Gautam Menon's romantic film Prem Katha.

The film is a remake of Gautham Menon's Tamil film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and features Amy as a Malyali Christian.

As any off-screen love story in Bollywood goes, Prateik and Amy insist that they're just friends.

'I'm not pregnant', insists Celina Jaitley

Amid flying rumours that the actor made haste in tying the knot to long time boyfriend Peter Haag because she was expecting at the time, Celina Jaitley is going round shooting down the 'malicious' stories. The actor married boyfriend of three years at a private ceremony in Austria on July 23. Currently, she is recovering from stomach flu at a hospital in Dubai.

She's furious with reports that she got married in such a rush because she was pregnant at the time, TNN reports.

"Celina is currently recuperating from a stomach ailment at a hospital in Dubai. When the news of her marriage to Peter spread last week, Celina was shocked, disturbed and very hurt to read reports about her sudden pregnancy. There were even allegations that the actress had got married to her beau of three years suddenly as she was expecting at that time. There were all sorts of disgusting speculations and rumors that really upset Celina and Peter," a source told the newspaper.

The real reason the source claims is that Haag's ailing grandmother wanted to see the two married.

"Peter's grandmother passed away soon after that and the couple has been grieving for her. It was for this reason - to comfort Peter - that Celina stayed back in Dubai, despite her work commitments in Mumbai, for a month," the source revealed.

When contacted by the paper, Celina curtly explained, "It is very regressive of people to speculate on my so called time of conception. Marriage is the most wonderful thing to happen to me. I wish people would share our happiness and not worry about our family planning. Marriage and motherhood both are beautiful periods of time for any woman and if I am pregnant like my marriage I will announce it at the right time and with great happiness!"

Previous recipients of this prestigious award include filmmaker Rohan Sippy and CNN correspondent Sanjay Gupta. The conference which will be held in New York’s Time Warner Center, will take place on September 16 and 17 this year.

I slapped Imran some 16 times: Katrina Kaif

Let us start from the beginning. When you were first approached with this profile, what was your initial reaction?

Well when I first heard the script, I thought it wassomething very different, something very new, I was shooting for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in Spain at the time and I downloaded it from my email and I read it and I felt that it was something which had not been done before, something which had not been seen before and I mean at the end of the day that's the kind of way I have always tried to choose my films. I don't have any great detail or logic or exact point that I look for in a film. It's just if I get a good sense from it and I feel that there is something interesting that we may be able to do with it, then I just kind of go for it.

What was the special thing about the character which you would like to tell us about?

There was room to interpret it the way I wanted to and I think that there was freedom. I knew the director, I knew what he was trying to do with the film and I felt that there was room for us to experiment with a very different kind of a heroine, a different kind of a girl and I thought that was going to be something interesting and I mean at the end of the day you try, you experiment and you only get to know once it releases at the box office whether you are right or wrong but at least you can you can give it that attempt.

This is quite a girl-driven film. The female protagonist of the film drives the movie. Was that something very challenging for you?

I don't know if there's ever been a female-driven film or a male-driven film. I don't believe in that. I believe a film is a film - a movie can only work if everything about the film works. When people often ask me about characters I play in films or I have done multi-star cast films, I always say that it doesn't matter for me. I see the movie as a totality and for me the romance and the story and the chemistry I found in this film was very interesting when I heard about the film. I found that very interesting between Imran's character and my character and I felt that after everything we had been offered, there was still scope for us to have a new dimension between the two characters onscreen rather than your more traditional love stories. That was really the reason why both me and Imran were really happy and excited about the film.

You were being paired opposite Imran Khan for the first time. What was your impression before you met him and what was your impression after you actually met him?

Well me and Imran were offered films before which for some reason or another didn't not work out. It's always been like that for me where things have always seemed to fall into place at the right time when they were meant to be and I think we just both instantly liked it. I remember that I had said I liked the film and then they went and they spoke to Imran and the director told me that yeah you know he's loved the film and it just happened very quickly. Everything just fell into place and we probably started shooting the film three months after saying yes to the script. So that was a really quick turn around process and I think me and Imran both come from very different worlds, different kind of school of films almost I would say. I think initially there was some awkwardness but in the end I think it's really worked out in a very great way. I think we slowly got to really appreciate what the other person brings.

You've known director Ali for a while. He was the first AD on New York, your first film with YRF. Tell us a little about yours and Ali's relationship.

The director Ali was the first AD on New York which was the first film that I did with Yash Raj and that was an amazing experience I think for all of us. I knew he was writing a script but I mean work is work and that's very separate. So I read the script with a very open mind and I instantly thought this was something that I just wanted to do. I don't know the exact reasons but it was just an instinct I had that it would be good. I think that it has helped us in a certain way that everyone on the film is young - no one is conscious of each other and I think that enabled us to be very free at least me in terms of the performance. There's a lot of personality or a certain side to me that most people wouldn't normally see or have not seen before. I mean we have to wait and see for the result but it's something which I am also curious to know whether people will notice something different in the film.

How did you prepare yourself for the character in the film?

There wasn't much character preparation to do. I mean the same for Zindagi- a lot of people have asked that question. Obviously in that film it was different as there was diving and stuff but besides it's just finding your interpretation of the character. It's not like you are having to train for something. It's a really fun, romantic comedy. It's more getting onto the set and everyone working together and trying to bring whatever they can to the scene.

Let's get to the beginning, to the shoot. Now you were shooting in places where you must have been before in Delhi, Punjab but this time you were right in the middle of crowds. How was that?

Yeah we actually shot in some really, really nice locations in the film. I have shot before in Punjab and but this time we actually got to shoot in Delhi and I always wanted to shoot a film in Delhi. We shot in the famous landmarks and monuments in Delhi. We shot for a month in a place called Nabha, which is near Patiala and it was this really small, dinky hotel called Iqbal Inn. I remember Imran being terrified when we walked in and I think everyone was terrified. But that's where it helped that we were all friends and we were all a young unit and everyone just went in there and said chuck it, let's just have fun. There was no other food besides dal and roti and tandoori chicken.

There were lots of road scenes and places where you were in a car or a scooter in the middle of Delhi and in the middle of Chandigarh, with the crowds following you all around. How was that experience?

I mean obviously if you are going to shoot in public places, there are always going to be people. So you have to really keep your concentration and not allow it to distract you because you'll be doing a really important scene and you have people on either side of the street which are not visible to the camera or in the frame and they'll be shouting and screaming. But in the end it was really fun and a nice experience to see all of that.

Let us talk about Ali Zafar, who plays the character called Luv.

Ali Zafar was somebody who I think none of us really had met before the film and he of course plays Imran's brother in the film. When he came onto the sets I thought he instantly added a really fresh and new dimension into the whole dynamics of everything. He instantly got the tone of the film. He is a really, really good performer. I think he is great at comedy and he just kind of brought a really fun vibe onto the whole shoot of the film. He is also a musician so in between the shots-we were shooting mainly outdoors in big spaces so we had a lot of space, a lot of time and he played his songs for the whole unit. It was just kind of a big bunch of group of friends hanging together on and off the sets.

Ali Zafar claims to have given you some guitar lessons which later translated onto your screen image.

(Laughs) Well I don't think he should be taking any credit for my guitar playing skills or lack of them in the film because I don't think they are very impressive. But yeah he did try to teach me some guitar and I did try to learn but I think it was a little futile as we didn't get past more than 3 chords. So I don't know if he is the best teacher or I am just a bad student but it didn't work out too well.

Let us go back to the song Dhunki. You all were shooting in the mad heat of the northern plains in Agra.

Yeah we shot the song Dhunki in Agra and I think that was probably the most trying part of the film. It was way too with uncontrollable crowds. The media was constantly filming everything from a very close distance. It was probably the most difficult shoot I have been on. I think we kind of managed to pull it off together and it was like an ordeal at the end of it and everyone was really happy and just glad for it to be over. But we worked really hard on it and everyone pulled together as a team. In the end there have been so many crowds around who actually helped us.

There was a very critical scene in the film where Imran confronts you and you are supposed to slap him at a certain point. Imran was saying that you slapped him at least 20 times.

There was a scene in the film where Imran confronts my character about something. I wasn't feeling we were getting the tone of the scene right and I felt that it was just not coming up and I was getting very frustrated and at one point I have to slap Imran. It was quite a long take and I think we did about 15 takes and because of the close proximity between him and the camera, you can't really cheat a slap. So Imran said just slap me for real or look real and it will have more impact. So I said, okay fine. Well I don't think he anticipated that we were going to shoot that particular bit 16 times, so he got awful lot of slaps from me and they were pretty hard. By the end of it he was like, I can't take any more slaps but we got it really well in the end and I think we were happy with it.

Any sequences for which you had to really push yourself?

I think the sequence which was a little difficult was where I did the dialogue from Sholay and it was the first day of shoot with Ali Zafar and I think my second or third day of shoot with Imran. So none of us really knew each other very well and Ali and Imran are sitting down in the car. I am standing on the bonnet, wearing a short dress and I am supposed to be kind of very high and saying Dharamji's dialogue from Sholay where I am referring to Ali Zafar as Basanti and Imran as the bad mausi who is coming in between. So it was very funny and that's what I liked about the character - it's the girls giving it back to the boys.

Could you describe your character and her style in the film?

I play a character called Dimple in the film and she has two looks in the film. One is when she is in college which is more like the whole rockstar, grunge vibe- very unkempt hair with a lot of kaajal on her eyes, just jeans and. Rocky S and me kind of worked together on that. The second look is after about 4-5 years later in the story and completely normal. I mean the kind of clothes you would go and buy from Linking Road, not giving too much thought or not over-styled. The main thing was to try and keep her real. She's not supposed to be an unattainable or overtly-glamorous girl. She's a normal girl who is just you know kind of really adventurous and passionate about things and a little bit whacky and we didn't want the styling at any point to overpower anything. Except as I said for the college portion. So I think it's worked really well. In terms of the character, I think you have to see the film and decide.

Why should people go and watch the movie?

I never have a reason why someone should go and watch a film. As I said, you take a film, you put in as much love and hard work you can. You give it everything and then you put it out for the audience to see and judge. And then you just have to hope and pray that they like it, that's the way it works.

Kareena Kapoor: 'I am the 100 crore heroine'

New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- Kareena Kapoor has registered a lot of 'firsts' in her name. The 30-year old has become the first actor to have delivered three blockbuster hits that have crossed the R100cr mark, she is the first actor to have worked with the three Khans of Bollywood one after the other -Salman in Bodyguard, Shah Rukh in Ra.One and Aamir in Reema Kagti's untitled film -and the first actor to have a digital character dubbed in her voice for a Playstation game.

"I am the 100 crore heroine -that's what I get to hear from everyone around me. It is only because I have three films, Bodyguard, 3 Idiots and Golmaal 3, that have crossed the 100 crore mark at the box office collection," she says with pride. "This is the first time any actor has earned such numbers. But I was prepared for this response, as I started my preparation ever since I was nine years of age, and would have done anything to get here," she adds.

So does that make her the number one heroine in Bollywood? "Please keep me at number 100, as I don't want to be part of this number game, but yes, I know I deserve what I have got, and I have really worked hard for it. Today, I am proud to say that I was competing with myself to up those numbers."

Now that her career is going great, is she preparing to marry beau Saif Ali Khan in February next year, as rumour has it? "No preparations are on. Both Saif and I are concentrating on Agent Vinod. We will let everyone know once things get finalised. Right now, Saif's father's health is our prime concern. We are planning to come to Delhi to see him soon," she says. Saif's father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, is suffering from a lung disease.

Khiladi Kumar turns 44

Akshay Kumar has come a full circle from his first hit Khiladi to hit TV series Khatron Ke Khiladi. And now the actor is looking forward to his first overseas production Speedy Singhs.

Here's the actor's journey so far on his 44th birthday. Akshay was born in 1967 as Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia in a middle class Punjabi family in Amritsar. From a waiter in Bangkok, to one of the most successful actors in Bollywood, Akshay Kumar has come a long way.

The actor was raised in Delhi's Chandni Chowk before moving to Mumbai. He studied martial arts in Bangkok and worked as a chef. He then came back to Mumbai, where he started teaching martial arts.

How Rajiv Bhatia became Akshay Kumar
One of his students happened to be a photographer and recommended him to do modelling and the anonymous Rajiv Bhatia began his journey as Akshay Kumar who then slowly but surely worked his way up to becoming one of the most talented stars of the industry.

Stunned at the pay package and his success as a model, Akshay took the next obvious step, and entered into films. However unlike most of the other stars in his time, Akshay neither had star parents, nor a godfather to launch him. Although his first few films were unsuccessful at the box office, they helped Akshay get noticed for his dancing abilities and his dare-devilish stunts.

First hit
His first true hit film was Khiladi (1992) and although it was a success, the top banners continued to be elusive until Yeh Dillagi (1993), which not only got him recognition but marked his position as a top league actor. Though Jai Kishen and Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1993) were quite successful at the box office, it was Mohra (1993) and Sabse Bada Khiladi (1995) that it catapulted Akshay to fame and established his position as one of the top most heroes of the industry.

Lights, camera, 'action'
With a series of Khiladi movies including the Khiladiyon Ke Khiladi (1996), Akshay became the quintessential "action hero'. But in 1997 with Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi, Dil To Pagal Hai and Aflatoon, he attempted new genres in order to change his stereotypical image, and he was quite successful at it.

Experimenting with roles
Another attempt at a new role with Ajnabee (2001), where he played the villain, was again well portrayed and well received by audiences and critics alike. He even won his first Filmfare Award under the Best Villain category. Dhadkan (2000), where he starred opposite Shilpa Shetty reaffirmed the fact that aside from being an action hero, Akshay Kumar was also the perfect romantic lead. In the same year came another memorable performance with the film Hera Pheri (2000) which brought to the forefront his strength in comedy and superb timing as he held his ground with the seasoned Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty.

Golden innings
His comic performances in films such as Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Garam Masala (2005), Phir Hera Pheri (2006) and Jaan-E-Mann (2006) met with critical acclaim. His success further rose in 2007, when he starred in four consecutive commercial hits – Namastey London, Heyy Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Welcome. He continued his golden touch with Singh Is Kinng.

A string of flops
However in 2009, his Chandni Chowk to China opposite Deepika Padukone and Eight by Ten, both was critical and commercial failures to box office. His bad patch continued with Kambakkht Ishq, Blue, De Dana Dan, Khatta Meetha, Action Replayy, Tees Maar Khan and Patiala House.

In between these, his Housefull last year was a box-office hit. In 2011, he has already delivered a hit in Thank You. During his career, Akshay Kumar was romantically linked with several of his co-star actresses like Raveena Tandon, Shilpa Shetty, Pooja Batra and even Rekha. He finally married actress Twinkle Khanna, the daughter of veteran actors Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, in 2001 and is today a proud father of a son named Aarav.

Today, Akshay is one of the most sought after actors, who command a strong box-office opening. In 2008, the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada conferred an Honorary Doctorate of Law on him in recognition of his contribution to Indian cinema. In 2009, he was awarded the Padma Shri.

Upcoming ventures
His upcoming films are - Rohit Dhawan's (David Dhawan's son) directorial debut Desi Boyz, Shirish Kunder's 3-D Hindi film Joker, Sajid Khan's Housefull 2, and Rowdy Rathore, a film produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Prabhu Deva. His latest production project, Speedy Singhs, first Indo-Canadian venture, is also ready for release. Akshay Kumar has also done an item number in this film, which was earlier titled Breakaway.

Kareena Kapoor: 'Blackpool is a Tussauds Museum too'

Mumbai, Sept. 10 -- Kareena Kapoor s getting ready to be waxed at the Madame Tussauds museum and wants to relish her moment. It upsets her that rumours are being spread by a jealous actor that her statue is a "gimmick" and "smaller" than Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan's that was unveiled at the Baker Street Museum in London while hers will open at Blackpool.

"How disgusting is that!" she rants. "Yes, it's going to be unveiled in Blackpool but that's a Madame Tussauds museum too. It will then go on six-city exhibition tour and that has never happened with any other celebrity statue before. It will tour cities like Berlin, Singapore and Hong Kong before ending in London. I want to focus on my special moment instead of what others are saying or doing."

The Jab We Met actor's statue will be unveiled in October and currently is in the process of being moulded. She says that she is bound by a contract and can't talk about the look. "I'm super excited," she smiles. "It still hasn't sunk in that I'm being immortalised in wax. Only when I see the statue, up close, will I know it's for real and it's not something I planned for."

There's a lot of speculation that we'll see her as the streetwalker from Chameli? "There are a lot of speculations but till October I can't speak about this. All I can say is that my fans are going to love the look."

"Good friend" SRK stands by Priyanka

Gauri Khan openly snubbed Priyanka Chopra with all her friends at SRK's Eid party. And she reportedly didn't let Hrithik exchange cordiality with Priyanka. But it seems, either SRK was not aware of the friction or he chose to ignore the vibes.

On being asked by Mehr Jessia why Priyanka was invited despite so many people disliking her presence, SRK defended the actor.

A source told Mid Day, "Towards the end of the party, after many celebrities had left, Mehr pointed to SRK that not many people (including Gauri) were too fond of Priyanka. She asked him why Priyanka had been invited at all"

"SRK told Mehr that Priyanka is a very good friend just like she and many others were to him. And if she had any problems, Mehr should address them directly to Priyanka, and not question SRK about inviting her over for his Eid party," continues the source.

SRK stood up for Priyanka Chopra when she was undergoing a legal battle with ex-secretary Prakash Jaju. Piggy Chops also supported SRK during his IPL matches.

It's a known fact that Priyanka is an unabashedly huge SRK fan. Is this proximity beginning to bother Gauri? Speculations suggest an affirmative answer to this question.

Akshay-John on a high

Mumbai, Sept. 10 -- Garam Masala actors Akshay Kumar and John Abraham have taken the risk factor to another level. While shooting for the title track of their upcoming film, Desi Boyz, in Bangkok last week, the duo agreed to a daredevil stunt in a helicopter.

They chose to shoot without wearing a harness as it would have showed up against their white clothes and stood poised at the open door of the chopper with no strapping. Confirming the news producer Krishika Lulla of Eros International says, "They were at a height of about 30 floors. Rohit (Dhawan) was a super stressed director but Akki and John were confident they'd pull off the one-take shot that was so badly needed for the title track."

It was an expensive shoot taken over Bangkok city near a helipad. Mahendra Varma directed the action sequence. The film also features Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh. The latter she be seen in a glamorous avatar and has a special dance number.

'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' - a twisted tale of love (Preview)

New Delhi, Sep 7 (IANS) After receiving a positive response for his role in the adult comedy "Delhi Belly", actor Imran Khan returns to charm with his chocolate boy look in "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan", a light-hearted and twisted tale of love that releases Friday.

Produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, directed and written by debutant Ali Abbas Zafar, the film also stars Katrina Kaif and Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar in the lead roles.

Set in the milieu of an urban middle class family, the quirky comedy deals with two brothers - Luv Agnihotri (Ali Zafar) and Kush Agnihotri (Imran Khan). While Kush works as an assistant director in the film industry, his elder brother Luv works as an investment banker in London. A casanova by heart, Luv realises he wants to get married and settle down with an Indian girl.

So Kush is given the task of bride hunting for his brother and during this quest, he encounters some wacky and funny situations. Finally, he meets Dimple Dixit (Katrina), who likes to lead a life with no boundaries. She is also from London, but is a true Indian at heart.

Dimple is the craziest girl Kush has ever met. So, while everything is finalised and preparations are in full swing, Kush realises he has fallen in love with his brother's 'dulhan'. Then follows a string of comical and unpredictable events that promise to leave audiences in splits.

One would never believe that matrimonial advertisements can inspire anyone and become a medium to entertain, but in case of "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan", the director took a cue from matrimonial ads and wove his story around it.

Apart from this, Ali Abbas Zafar has also been inspired by Hrishikesh Mukherjee's "Chupke Chupke" and "Gol Maal" while giving shaping up the movie. The film has been shot in Agra, Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun and Mumbai.

"Mere Brother Ki Dulhan" is the second Bollywood film of Ali Zafar, who had made his debut in Abhishek Sharma's "Tere Bin Laden", where he had played the Al Qaeda leader and received accolades for his role.

Both Imran and Katrina are currently on cloud nine after the success of their films "Delhi Belly" and "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" respectively.

This is the first time the two are paired together and their
on-screen chemistry looks equally impeccable.

Sohail Sen, who has previously composed music for "What's Your Raashee?", has penned the music of the film. Not just this, Ali Zafar too has lent his voice to a song "Madhubala", which has become quite a rage.

The film also has John Abraham in a friendly appearance.

Katrina, Imran bring curtains down at VHIMW

New Delhi, Sep 5 (IANS) Bollywood actors Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif sashayed down the ramp at the grand finale of the Van Heusen India Men's Week (VHIMW) for designer duo Karan Johar and Varun Bahl, bringing down the curtains on the three-day gala event in style.

The show began with hooting and applause as Imran took centrestage. The actor looked confident and, with a wide smile, walked down in a black-blue jacket with crisp white trousers.

The first row hooters saw actor Rahul Dev clapping and cheering enthusiastically.

The main show area set the mood with dim blue lights fencing what looked like a cruise with wind navigators placed at the corners, and the ramp floor replicated the sea shore. It looked like one was walking on white pebbles.

Model-turned-actress Katrina, who is not new to the spotlight and ramps, walked in a short black shimmering jacket and black trouser as a rockstar.

She was joined by Imran again, this time in a black formal coat, trouser and shirt and the two walked hand in hand, much to the delight of the audience.

The designer duo showcased the men's pret collection for the second time. Complementing the ambience were the clothes that talked about a vision of Mediterranean chic with a nice blend of florescent slinky cowls, stiff-falling linens and bright silk jerseys.

The colour palette ranged from calm, neutral shades like beige, pastel and olive to denim, pale blue and mustard.

Apart from Imran and Katrina's presence, another high-point of the show was when some models appeared on the ramp shirtless, flaunting their well-built bodies in boxer shorts.

Ranbir, Rishi shoot together for the first time!

Mumbai, Sep 5 (IANS) There are talks of father-son duo Rishi and Ranbir Kapoor's sharing of screen space in a film, but the actors have already shot for a commercial together.

The television ad of cola brand Pepsi will see Rishi and Ranbir together for the first time. Sources from the sets reveal that both were comfortable during the shoot as they had to only play father-and-son in the commercial, which will go on air Sep 15.

'Wake Up Sid' director Ayan Mukherji has also directed a teaser to the TVC that goes on air Monday, said a statement.

The teaser concept revolves around a father dismissing his son's chances of becoming a Crorepati while the son has a plan in place. The teaser ends with the theme music for "Kaun Banega Crorepati" -- whether the son becomes a Crorepati by participating in the show or by drinking Pepsi that remains to be seen.

Anurag Kashyap, Kalki Koechlin: Romantic escape!

New Delhi, Sept. 5 -- Film maker Anurag Kashyap and his actor wife Kalki Koechlin can't have enough of each other. The couple, who got married in April this year, are still waiting for their long due honeymoon, which was delayed due to their hectic work schedules.

The couple will soon fly to Turkey for their honeymoon. "Ever since we got married, we have been really busy. I had my release of Shaitan, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and then That Girl in Yellow Boots. In fact, there has been so much work that we wouldn't even get a chance to talk to each other sometimes," says Koechlin during the promotion of their film That Girl in Yellow Boots (TGIYB) in the Capital. On being asked why Turkey, Kashyap says, "It's Kalki's choice. She wants to be there."

The couple added that marriage has brought happiness and calmness in their lives. Koechlin says, "Though Anurag and I are two very independent people, but we have great understanding. And therefore whatever time we get to spend together is quality time."

Kashyap adds, "The best part about Kalki is that she is brutally honest. She has brought lot of happiness and calmness in my life. We completely trust each other."

Talking about his experience about directing intimate scenes of his wife in TGIYB, Kashyap says, "To be honest, I feel really very awkward and hence even today I don't see those scenes on screen. As a director, I do know that such scenes are required and they are shot very aesthetically too. But as a husband, I feel very uncomfortable."
