THE STARS at the 68th Venice Film Festival stole most of our fashion attention this week, with Madonna making a statement in Vionnet and L'Wren Scott, Diane Kruger in Elie Saab, Cindy Crawford in ruby red Roberto Cavalli and Marisa Tomei in ochre-hued Marios Schwab.
Earlier on in the week, all eyes were on the glorious Beyoncé Knowles, who used the MTV Awards and a red Lanvin one-shoulder gown to reveal to the world that she was expecting a baby with Jay-Z. (We can't see this star opting for floral smocks any time soon.) And, for once, our favourite British songstress Adele wasn't in Barbara Tfank and, instead, opted for demure Burberry with big Sixties hair.
Just when we thought we couldn't take any more action, Sarah Jessica Parker came to town to promote her new film, I Don't Know How She Does It and we loved her in Prabal Gurung (twice), and again in a full-drama Little Red Riding Hood-esque scarlet gown and cape by Giambattista Valli.
