According to the research conducted by University of Oxford Professor, Peter Rothwell, people with variability in blood pressure are at a higher risk of suffering from a stroke than those with regularly high blood pressure. Professor Rothwell is associated with the Stroke Prevention Research Unit at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and the study involved 8,000 patients who had suffered heart attack.
