The director and the lead singer of Phoenix wed in a civil ceremony in at the former's family villa in Bernalda, Italy today. About 80 people attended the event, including, of course, Francis Ford Coppola. He walked his daughter down the aisle.

Coppola - who won an Oscar for her Lost in Translation screenplay in 2004 - got engaged to Mars in May. They have two daughters together: Romy, 4½, and Cosima, 15 months.
"Everything went well," Bernalda's mayor, Leonardo Chiruzzi, told The Associated Press of the event. "It was simple, calm, in the garden."
