Mumbai, Aug. 23 -- With Dahi Handi celebrations taking over the city on Monday, actor John Abraham also decided to partake in the revelries. Donning a Gandhi topi (cap), the actor along with producer Vipul Shah and director Nishikanth Kamath decided to compete with the local govindas at Thane's Pokhran Road No 1 for the Dahi Handi celebrations.
The team gathered to release the music of their film among the city festivities. But watching the govindas perform, the Dhoom star decided to participate with the local boys. Those forming a human pyramid were seen supporting John on their shoulders and the actor stunned all by taking to the Handi and breaking it with his head! John said it was a special handi, called, the bhrashtachar vimukt dahi handi and was his way of supporting the on-going Anna Hazare campaign. In the process, he injured his forehead that led to bleeding. The actor had to take medicines and cover his injury with make-up before heading back to his shoot.
