Hines Ward Wins 'Dancing with the Stars'
With Chelsea Kane taking third place in last night's season finale of Dancing with the Stars, that meant either Kirstie Alley or Hines Ward would be walking away with the coveted Mirror Ball trophy. And even though Kirstie's shocking transformation was impressive, it wasn't enough to beat Hines Ward's skills and success over the course of the season. Upon learning that he'd won, Hines thanked his fans, and Kym for being such a wonderful teacher, and the judges for being so honest with their criticisms that he was able to consistently improve each week. As for Kirstie and Maks, they both were happy to be part of the experience, and Maks took some time to call Kirstie his trophy. After the final was over, Hines told reporters he was going to put his trophy right next to his MVP trophy, and that every time he scores a touchdown, "you will see a Dancing with the Stars routine somewhere in the end zone." Of his competitors, Hines said "They're all deserving of this mirror ball. But I'm not going to apologize for winning. It's grueling. I disrespected this show when I first came on it by saying, 'I can do that.' It's a lot of hard work."
