Reel poet Farhan gets real poems

Mumbai, Dec. 17 -- He played the happy-go-lucky Imraan in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011). And besides his comic timing, the audience also loved his poetic streak in Zoya Akhtar's hit movie. So much so that post ZNMD, Farhan has been receiving lots of complimentary emails on the poems his father penned for him in the movie. A lot of fans from across the globe have even gone to the extent of writing him poems.

"Farhan is extremely touched by their gesture. To his surprise, he still receives similar mails even though ZNMD released five months ago," says a friend of Farhan's. Just a few days ago, a fan sent him a poem on friendship that really impressed Farhan. The filmmaker-actor is surprised that people still remember and connect with ZNMD so strongly.

Interestingly, Farhan has carefully preserved all the poems in his office and reads them when free. "It makes him extremely happy since he's so proud of his sister's film," says the source. But Farhan has no intention of using these poems in his forthcoming films.

"He believe that they are too personal and special for him to use them for commercial purposes. He only wants them for himself," adds the source. When contacted, Farhan laughs off the query, saying, "I don't want to talk about these poems. It's a very personal thing that I would not like to share with the world."
