Mildred "Patty" Baena: Did She Threaten to Expose Arnold Schwarzenegger, Love Child? - Latest Hollywood News Gossips

Mildred Baena has been identified as the mother of Arnold Schwarzenegger's love child, but it's unclear how this was unveiled after a decade of secrecy.

The former California governor and wife Maria Shriver announced their split last week after 25 years of marriage. Baena worked for them for 20 years.

Schwarzenegger admitted his affair with Baena to the L.A. Times this week. Why he would do so is a subject of great debate - and conflicting reports.

How was Mildred Baena's affair with Arnold exposed?
According to Radar Online and Star, she threatened to go public with details of their illicit affair after Schwarzenegger terminated her employment.

This conflicts with earlier reports that Baena retired from her job on the couple's payroll, just a few months ago, which does seem coincidental.

A shameful Schwarzenegger fired his mistress from her job in a desperate attempt to save his marriage to wife Maria Shriver, thosee sources claim.

Mildred Patricia Baena, known as Patty Baena, gave birth to Arnold's son more than 14 years ago. He and Maria have four children of their own.

"Mildred was furious that the father of her 14-year-old son would callously fire her from her job after decades of loyal service," a Baena friend said.

That's motivation, sure ... but other sources say it's not true.

For what it's worth, Schwarzenegger's baby mama has been unwavering in her support of him, but right before the story broke, according to TMZ.

TMZ and the L.A. Times were digging into the story for more than a week before it broke (ever since his separation from Shriver was announced).

Those sources say Arnold has been "generous" with Mildred "Patty" Baena from the start and have never insinuated that she threatened the star.

In fact, when the L.A. Times asked her about her son just last week, she flatly denied Arnold was the father. So why did Schwarzegger come clean?

Perhaps the Times finally got close to the story, and Arnold got wind of it, then wanted to get ahead of it as much as he could. It's very unclear.

If Mildred Baena maintains her silence now, that will be a telling sign. But somehow, a celebrity gossip magazine spread wouldn't surprise us.
